My sister has always said that while she was growing up she talked and communicated with faeries on a regular basis. My Aunt says she used to do the same. I have always found that the energy they carry is more like a curious child and have really not had any good results with them in magick. Although they do carry a very positive and playful energy that even if you cannot see them you can feel them. Go to a beautiful garden full of flowers and that feeling you get. That feeling of upliftment and peace is the faeries of the garden. Of course this is just my own personal view on things. Sorry for the rambling just can't sleep. I hope that all is well with everyone.

It always seems overlooked to me that intelligences would be, well overlooked. "Money chases science, science chases it's own tail, and the best minds of my generation can't make bail." I think this the same of our E.F. friends, and why more magicians don't study them is mind boggling. To me they seem the perfect teachers and confidants; elementals with their power and ancient wisdom allow little leeway for mistakes and hence create the albatross for one's neck, the same rule supplies for le faes, or so i'd tell it!!

I've never seen the winged verity of these, but have talked to many that have. I'd love to know more about contacting them, and as i'm a desert dweller, would love to learn more about Sylphs & Salamanders.

My own experiences with intelligences leads me to a lot of invocation, does this work here?? Also, what are your own experiences with these spirits and creatures?? I remember a story you related about your experiences with a Sun elemental -- do you believe that *anit-eggnog aside * they live along the astral realms, or...

I agree that proper Evocation of the Planetary Intelligences are greatly overlooked in general. I think it warrants a lengthier post than what I can share at the momen. I'll write a more in-depth response soon.

Umm. Uh, No. Unh, unh. Quite FAR from it. A Fire Elemental (who is to blame for your apartment building burning down) is only a "good teacher" insomuch as it "teaches" you how to destroy your belongings and get a good 3rd Degree burn over 90% of your body. What Spirits tend to teach you is that you DON'T NEED to "learn" certain lessons!! (lol)

Many years ago, my dear old friend Lon Milo DuQuette (of O.T.O. fame), instructed me wisely to AVOID tampering with the Spirits/Elementals UNTIL I was firmly grounded, and had the necessary info as to how to contain their energies sufficiently (and safely, I might add!) Spirits are the PUREST ESSENCES of the Elements, and are NOT to be confused with Faeries (with whom I enjoy a wonderful relationship). Spirits, therefore are VERY difficult to control. I'd advise doing one's magickal homework and practices for quite some time before embarking on this type of Magick. Thank me later.

One does not (or rather should not), "invoke" Intelligences, but rather EVOKE THEM. If you don't recognize the difference, then I must suggest a good deal more study is suggested. Feel free to write me directly for more info.

Actually, it was NOT a "Sun Elemental" per se, but the Solar Spirit of Tiphereth, "SORATh". He was technically, "Fire of Fire". And my story is funny NOW, but trust me, it was NOT a fun experience.

This is only my personal opinion, but I feel they "exist" primordially and eternally in VARIOUS places, throughout the Cosmos. If anyone could succinctly state exactly where they are, I would listen with interest, at the very least.

[Note: I tend to burst into spontaneous laughter when people claim to know EXACT knowledge of how such beings exist, and move about in the Universe; including the specifics regarding the NAMES, BIRTHDATES, etc. of such beings. Cult leaders beware! roflmao]

For a very short and very baffling time around my 16th birthday I was losing all kinds of items around the house. As quickly as putting down the remote to go to the bathroom, and upon returning finding it gone! I attempted to consult my pendulum, in hopes that I would be able to find their hiding places but my subconscious either had no answers, or would direct me to a place where the item was not. Upon a second consultation for the same item it would inform that the object had been moved prior to my search. At this point I began suspecting this was the work of some mischievous little people. I decided to leave them a peace offering outside my back door and whispered it was good joke but that I would really like my stuff back. Over the next several days my missing items began showing up in the STRANGEST places, getting me into a bit of trouble with my family, but at least I got my belongings back!

With me, I used to subscribe strongly to the theory that said we create them. I still think that's true in some respects as well. But now my theory is slowly becoming that these various entities actually do exist on the astral somehow, in some form of existence, collectively in many cases. Yet, also in most cases, I think that often times it's our own astral matter we form into a shell to clothe them in which they would inhabit temporarily to activate with a spark of their essence; thus bridging the gap for communication perhaps.

I read something that simplified the above even further once. It makes more sense for ideas like invocation. But the idea was kind of like how you might notice a fly buzzing around you in the physical. We learn to evoke here, and make our invocations to the highest here, to be noticed on the realms of the higher vibratory bodies there, and to speak with the proper authority as well. Right?

But back here, with us, if that fly buzzing around you also seemed to learn how to project it's voice loud enough to be heard, to know your name, and to speak your language, and proceeds to list qualities about you that you identify with, "O nytek the poet, who hath...", etc., then you just might listen up. And then it's not impossible ... for you to be moved to action if it then magically 'gets your ear'. You know what I'm saying? Maybe somebody else has read that, but it's good to me just the same when paraphrased.

What sorts of things could be the results if people at different levels of experience were to invoke elementals (all things aside). I'm not all that curious to the point that I'd consider trying it but now I'm wondering.
