Ted Hughes: Birthday Letter

August 17th, 2012 by Voxx

O great Poet of Magick, Ted Hughes, today I celebrate the anniversary of your birth. I thank you for your continuing inspiration every time I hold a feathered pen in my hand.

I met you two days after your physical body died. You visited me in a spirit seance. At the time, I had never even heard of you. Still, you decided to make your illustrious presence known. You sent me some remarkable poems via the Astral Plane. Of course, you being a Leo and all, you made certain there were witnesses present, so I could assure myself that our interaction was not a delusion.

A couple of years after we met on the spiritual plane, I saw a picture of you, and discovered that you had been the husband of Sylvia Plath. It was definitely you whom I had seen that fateful night. I suppose I should note that the date of our original meeting was October 31st, 1998. Hardly three days since you had passed away.

Unbeknownst to me, was your very serious knowledge and initiatic understanding of the sacred Tarot, a mutual passion we shared.

I am glad to have the ability to read your poems through the filter of Magick, knowing the depth of your words. I have been writing a book filled with the Qabalistic and Tarot symbolism found in your works, and will publish it soon. That being said, dear Ted, I wish you peace, and the knowledge that your words continue to guide myself and others, toward an understanding and appreciation of the Great Work apparent in the divinity of Nature.

Just now, a lonely dog howls as the sun sets in the West. A song I’m sure you know by heart. ~V~

Uranus in Aries 0º : Tsunami Prediction Realized

March 12th, 2011 by Voxx

Japanese Flag

My Psychic and Astrological prediction of the Japanese tsunami, which was posted on March 8th, 2011, has unfortunately come true! I only wish my blog could have had been read by those who may have helped to mitigate this terrible disaster of epic proportions.

I send my condolences to the people of the Land of the Rising Sun, and pray they will recover quickly from this tragedy.

That being said, I knew for months that the movement of the powerful planet, Uranus would make its presence known in the merciless sign of Aries, the warrior. Even though Uranus has moved into Aries, it is still 1 degree away from the unlucky 29th degree of Pisces, the same degree of the Fixed Star, Scheat, which I mentioned in my earlier post.

Japan is still in great danger, as its Libra rulership is making a cardinal T-square with Uranus, Mercury, and Pluto, (Lord of the 8th House of Death), which is currently in the earth sign, Capricorn. Read More

Happy Birthday, Grandmother

September 29th, 2010 by Voxx

Today, I wish to celebrate the birthday of my late Grandmother Nell. She was born in the early 1900’s, in a small town in Tennessee. Nell was the middle child of seven children, including two brothers and four sisters.

She was a real beauty when she was young, looking like a combination of Lana Turner and Mae West. The story goes that she was a sharp-shooter, and an excellent horseback rider — a veritable Eris if ever there was one. On the Venusian side of things, she was also a young vixen, who wound up marrying her English Professor, who happened to be a Poet as well as a Shakespearean scholar.

Nell was the most perfect Astrological specimen of a female Libra. Smart and analytical, she ran her own grocery store, acting as expert accountant and shopkeeper. She was also very beautiful, fun-loving and domestically talented.  Nell was an incredible cook, and an expert seamstress, as well as a loving and wise Grandmother to me and my sisters. The list of her talents goes on and on.

Whenever I see a beautiful starlet from the golden era of film, I always think of my lovely grandmother. She was tall and elegant, possessing the typical flair of ultra-Librans for looking glamorous, even while cooking up a pot of green beans in an iron skillet. I loved her so much, and still think of her often.

Nell was a gifted clairvoyant, with deep spiritual beliefs and could recite any line of the Bible by memory, at the drop of a hat. She was the one who first taught me about Psychic Protection, and the concept of Karma — and I can assure you that anyone who ever did her wrong, wound up paying a hefty price. Thinking back, there was absolutely nothing Nell could not do. Her garden was a thing of beauty, always full of gorgeous ripening tomatoes, and other luscious fruits and vegetables.

Grandmother Nell, as a firm believer in life after death, I know that if heaven exists, you certainly must be there, livening the place up!  In the meantime, thank you for making my life possible, and also for those dozens of beautiful handmade quilts that keep me and the rest of the family so warm at night. You are forever loved, and deeply missed. ~V~

In This, My Time of Passing: Poem for Lorraine

January 31st, 2010 by Voxx

In this, my time of passing
I leave you, not in tears
But, with a heart of joy, amassing
Memories of years

How dear was life when living
How full the days that passed
God’s gift was in the giving
and my blesséd role was cast

He chose you all to be my friends
and loving family
Some times were sweet,
Some saddened ends
Still, all were gifts to me

Devoted mother, loving wife
A sister, friend and guide
A woman faced with challenge, rife
With faith, did i abide

I treasured every single day
I loved you all, each one
I worked at living in God’s way
The way great souls have done

I gave my all, best as i could
I aided those in need
And in my heart, i understood
the value of each deed

I loved without condition
I loved beyond all bound
Because it was my mission
to share the joy I’d found

I lived life fully, every day
God granted every prayer
Believe me, when i say
it was a privilege to share

My days of living life with you
Who hear my words right now
Oh, yes this angel in your view
Will keep a holy vow

To guide and keep you
in your ways
For now I live above
And as you live thru all your days
I’ll bless you with my love

Yes, there is rest and peace
Dear ones
In heaven, my new home
And after pain, there is release
After life’s work is done

Until that day, so far away
Remember I was here
Please keep me in your memory
As i will keep yours, dear

My earthly life now closes,
With all trials faced and won
Now, I live in yellow roses
and wide blue skies filled with sun

So everytime you look above
And see the sun shine thru
Please know I’m sending all my love
And shining down on you

Lorraine Jones: A Goddess of Norwood

January 26th, 2010 by Voxx

Lorraine-Power-Jones-GoddessAs I write this post, a dearly loved, lifelong friend is transforming herself into an angel. I feel this is the final physical goal of a well-lived life. My friend, Lorraine Powers Jones was one of my mother’s best friends. This post is for her, and I hope she will hear it read to her by her only son, Gary. I hope there are still a few grains of sand left in the hourglass …

Lorraine has always been what I considered to be the ideal woman. Elegant, tasteful, intelligent, friendly, and seriously fierce. She is a dutiful, loving mother, and a successful businesswoman, getting to the top of the ladder on her own terms.

My memories of her include so many wonderful times. My sister and I would play with her children Joni and Gary, who are still dear friends. I remember playing games on her front porch from dawn until dusk. One afternoon I was playing on the porch and banged my head on the iron-railing — it was Lorraine who came out and went with me and my mother to go to the doctor.

Everyone in the neighborhood would go to the McClain’s house to ride go-carts, and watch the illegal fireworks. I remember the endless “Girls’ Nights”, when Lorraine and all the other women of the neighborhood would come over and play Bridge all night, filling our house with laughter.

Lorraine had another great friend who lived one house over to the East — Shirley Brooks. The two of them were born under the Astrological sign of Virgo; and they used to giggle about secrets no one else knew. They were inseparable, and they always came over together through the front door, looking for my mother and her book of Dreams. It was a morning ritual, Lorraine, Shirley and my mother in the kitchen eating coffee cake and drinking coffee, laughing and gossiping about the details of their lives.

I remember Lorraine as the tall, graceful lady of the neighborhood. I always thought she should have been a model. I suppose she really is a model in her own way, and always has been. Lorraine certainly proved she’s a model of grace under pressure. She was always there for my mother, until her dying day; taking my mother who was terminally ill with cancer, to the hospital for emergencies in the middle of the night — bringing my mother food and medicine, and most of all, her loving and helpful way. Lorraine is a true original Southern Belle, in all its most positive meanings.

Oh, Lorraine … as I write these words, you are still here with us. Remember how much you are loved and cherished. And how all of us are at your side right now, at least in spirit. You are the final original Matriarch of our hometown neighborhood of Norwood. We are honored to have been a part of your life, and we’ve been so lucky to know you.

To me, you will always be the Last Goddess of Norwood. The beautiful, graceful Virgo with the strength to carve out a life for yourself, without leaving anyone behind. I am grateful as well that I was able to speak with you on Christmas, and that my father got to tell you how much he loves you.

I suppose, all I can do now is wait to hear that you’ve gotten your wings, and that you are free from any and all pain. I wish your transformation was easier, but I know the result will be one beautiful angel, that’s for sure. Please remember how much you are, and will always be loved, and how your leaving us will leave a void that will never be filled.

And please don’t be afraid … my mother Claire and Shirley are waiting for you, looking forward to seeing their best friend again. How can there ever be anything but laughter in heaven when you three get together? I love you Lorraine, thanks for sharing your gift of life with all of us. We’re sure going to miss you!

I will light a candle for you, and say prayers for your peaceful passage to the heavenly realm. Please watch over us, as you always have. And be glad that all of the neighborhood children have found each other again. God bless you, Lorraine.

Love,
Voxx, and the Family xoxo
