Sir John Dee: Upon his 495th Birthday

July 12th, 2022 by Voxx

Today marks the 495th birthday of the legend, Sir John Dee. He was born in England on this day, in 1527, and died in 1609. During his life, he was a respected Astrologer, Mathematician, Alchemist and Magician, during an age when such forbidden subjects were punishable by execution.

From his working house in Mortlake, London, he was Royal Astrologer to Queen Elizabeth I, and wrote many learned treatises including The Monas Hieroglyphia, and developed the Enochian system of Angel Magick.

I have studied his Magickal system for many years, and can attest to its incredible efficacy. Feel free to contact me to learn more about this Magickal art, to which we owe a great spiritual debt to Sir John Dee for earthing its secrets to mankind.

Today is the 146th anniversary of the Greater Feast of The Beast, Edward Alexander Crowley, better-known as, Aleister Crowley, who was born on October 12th, 1875.

No matter what anyone has to say about him, Crowley was 100% responsible for the New Age, and Occult movements, as well as many of today’s spiritual acts of freedom. Find out more about Aleister Crowley on a special page dedicated to him at the Voxx Online Magick School. Blessings, ~V~

Sir John Dee: Upon his 491st Birthday

Jack Parsons: Darkside of the Moon

June 17th, 2009 by Voxx

BelarionToday, Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 5:08 pm PDT, marks the exact time of the 57th Anniversary of Jack Parsons‘ tragic death.  Parsons, (born, Marvel Whiteside Parsons, and also known as John), was a brilliant scientist who was one of the main founders of Jet Propulsion Laboratory (affectionately known as “Jack Parsons Laboratories, by Parsons fans).

Jack was the inventor of solid rocket fuel, which was the single most important contribution to the Moon missions, for without Jack’s contribution, there never would have been a man on the moon (at least not within the time frame, it was achieved). For his contributions to the field of space exploration, Jack was given the honor of having not one, but two craters on the moon, named for him (albeit, both are on the dark side of the moon … amazingly appropriate.) Read about Parsons’ craters here.

Despite enough intelligence to have garnered him lasting fame for his contributions in the field of science and chemistry, it was Parsons’ secondary interest and practice of the Magick of Aleister Crowley, that has since overshadowed his more worldly legacy.

In 1939, at the young age of 26, Parsons was introduced, by Wilfrid T. Smith, to the magickal philosophy of Aleister Crowley, the head of the organization known as, the Ordo Templi Orientis.

Parsons life took a strange turn when he undertook a ritual he named,The Babalon Working, wherein he performed an intense Enochian Ritual, specifically designed to manifest an earthly incarnation of the Thelemic primal goddess, “Babalon.”

Much has been written about this extraordinary ritual, and its shocking, seemingly tragic outcome, in the form of two books, “Sex and Rockets“, and “Strange Angel“. (Purchase these books, via links listed below).

I have created several Astrological Charts regarding the highlights of Parsons’ fascinating life, which are available upon request, to serious Magicians, and those interested in the Jack’s magickal career.

In honor of Jack’s memory, there is a group on Facebook, dedicated to this amazingly talented man.

There is also a collector’s edition, Jack Parsons’ Memorial T-Shirt, available here.

Happy Birthday Kurt Cobain: We Still Miss You

February 21st, 2009 by Voxx

Manic Expressive, Copyright Voxx.Org 2009Today marks what would have been Kurt Cobain’s 42nd Birthday. It’s hard to believe, but it’s almost been 15 years since Kurt died, so tragically young at the age of 27.

I’ve been working on interpreting Kurt’s Astrology Chart, delving into the mystery as to what was really behind his suicide — if in fact, it was, one. It’s definitely a bizarre chart, full of hope, promise and even offers insight into his seemingly, unavoidable crash-and-burn.

Kurt never was one to burn out OR fade away. Instead, he chose to go out like the wild human Supernova he truly was. Still, his fiery ghostlight echoes, reaching the furthermost edges of our Messyverse — reminding the most distant of aliens, that once upon a time, there lived a beautiful yellow giant star named Kurt. May his light always shine for eyes to see, even when those eyes are blind with tears.

LVX and PAX,
Voxx
