Like the 2008 Presidential Election, the one occurring now, in 2012, is happening — yet again, with Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio! Last time, President Obama was sworn in during this tricky time period.

Not only that, but we have a devastating Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, occurring on November 13th, 2012 as well. With the intense power of Saturn in Scorpio, you can be assured that all hell is going to be breaking loose in the next few years — no matter who is elected (and I predict President Obama will be re-elected.)

Without going all “Illuminati” on your ass, I can safely say that should Mitt Romney be elected President, it will be due to another George W. Bush/Al Gore snafu. In other words, the election shows danger of being manipulated again.

The astrological good news for Obama is that on election day, there will be a Leo Moon, conjoining his Sun.

Here’s a look into my latest Thoth Tarot Divination regarding today’s election:

Barack Obama: 9 of Wands; The Tower; and the 4 of Wands.

Mitt Romney: The Star; The Low Magus; and the 5 of Wands.

This shows that Obama really has his work cut out for him, and it may appear to be a close election. The Star and Magus on Romney’s side, appear to show that the electronic machines may create errors, from which he will unfairly gain votes.

Make no mistake — should Romney win — the poor, women, children, schools, veterans, and small business owners of the United States can kiss their collective asses goodbye, as the 47% mysteriously disappear.

Remember the Mayans didn’t predict the dire consequences of this year for nothing! We need to protect ourselves from corporate vampires, and get to work for positive change. Let’s vote out the greedy, self-interested members of Senate and Congress who just block change for the common good!

Surely you have felt the energy shifting within the last few hours, as the Black Moon moved toward its new phase in Taurus.

Ordinarily, a new moon brings an invigorating feeling; However, this particular moon is fraught with tension, as it creates the astrological aspect known as a Fixed T-Square. Those born with the Sun or Moon in the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius will feel the brunt of this aspect, a bit more intensely.

Also, pay attention to which house you may have any of these fixed signs, as you’ll no doubt feel the heat. It’s not “bad”, just “challenging”, as I always say.

To intensify matters, Jupiter and Uranus (in Pisces) are in opposition of Saturn, currently retrograde in Virgo. These 3 planets are creating a Mutable T-Square, with Venus in Gemini. No wonder the world and everyone in it feels like we’re on a rollercoaster.

Still, it’s a New Moon, so light a green or white candle, and meditate on what you’d like to achieve in this new lunar cycle. It’s a great time to plant things as well, as the Moon in Taurus is considered one of the most fruitful times to begin projects.

What a strange couple of months it’s been — I’m sure you’re all mystified by the changes that have been occurring since the end of July, 2009.

The last series of Solar/Lunar eclipses have literally changed everything, for myself and for so many others of my readers. By now, the Summer of 2009 is becoming widely regarded as the “Summer of Death”, which, although rather morbid-sounding has quite literally been the case, especially in the world of celebrity.

Still, despite all the expected (and unexpected changes) we’ve all been subjected to, renewed energy is here to be enjoyed with the planetary entrance of Mars into the sign of Leo. Of course, this planetary placement will offer up some exciting (and passionate fireworks) for many of us (what with the Sun shortly entering the sign of Scorpio and all) Still, matters of the heart (which happens to be ruled by Leo), will be gearing up for new experiences. Boredom be gone!

The most intriguing aspect of this particular Mars placement is the fact that it will be there until April 2010! This is one of the longest placements of Mars in quite some time. So for those of you who have planets in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, life will definitely be a challenge, but a necessary one. I’m personally looking forward to a lot of positive energy that will bring us all the strength to deal with the changes that were thrust upon us this past Summer. As if you couldn’t tell by the overwhelming public emotional upheaval going on — we’re coming up against a powerful Lunar Eclipse, this coming Tuesday, July 7th, 2009.

What major event might we expect? How about the burial of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson — not to mention a host of other celebrities who have been passing away in droves lately.

As the ancient Greeks used to say, “the planets cast their shadows, before great events.” Not since the death of Rudolph Valentino, has an American celebrity been mourned by so many people around the world.

It was not widely known that Michael Jackson was born just slightly after the Full Moon in Pisces, 1958, and I find it hardly a coincidence that he will be buried slightly after the Full Moon in Capricorn, 2009. The Full Moon will be eclipsed, in the Earth Sign, Capricorn, exactly opposite his Mid-heaven (the 10th House, signifying Fame and Recognition). As Capricorn rules the idea of Fame, at the apex of the horoscope, it is a fitting time for such a burial.

Elvis Presley, “The King”, was a Capricorn, and died when the Sun was in the regal sign of Leo, August 16th — which just so happens to be the birthday of Madonna, the “Queen of Pop”. Are you starting to see the connection? Good, I thought so!

Today, Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 5:08 pm PDT, marks the exact time of the 57th Anniversary of Jack Parsons‘ tragic death.  Parsons, (born, Marvel Whiteside Parsons, and also known as John), was a brilliant scientist who was one of the main founders of Jet Propulsion Laboratory (affectionately known as “Jack Parsons Laboratories, by Parsons fans).

Jack was the inventor of solid rocket fuel, which was the single most important contribution to the Moon missions, for without Jack’s contribution, there never would have been a man on the moon (at least not within the time frame, it was achieved). For his contributions to the field of space exploration, Jack was given the honor of having not one, but two craters on the moon, named for him (albeit, both are on the dark side of the moon … amazingly appropriate.) Despite enough intelligence to have garnered him lasting fame for his contributions in the field of science and chemistry, it was Parsons’ secondary interest and practice of the Magick of Aleister Crowley, that has since overshadowed his more worldly legacy.

In 1939, at the young age of 26, Parsons was introduced, by Wilfrid T. Smith, to the magickal philosophy of Aleister Crowley, the head of the organization known as, the Ordo Templi Orientis.

Parsons life took a strange turn when he undertook a ritual he named, “The Babalon Working“, wherein he performed an intense Enochian Ritual, specifically designed to manifest an earthly incarnation of the Thelemic primal goddess, “Babalon.”

Much has been written about this extraordinary ritual, and its shocking, seemingly tragic outcome, in the form of two books, “Sex and Rockets“, and “Strange Angel“. (Purchase these books, via links listed below).
